On November 30, 2022, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Circular 24/2022/TT-BTTTT regarding QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT, specifying electrical safety requirements for telecommunication and information technology terminal equipment.
The scope of QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT encompasses the following devices:
- DECT phones (HS code 85171100)
- Desktop PCs (HS code 84714110)
- Digital cable TV signal decoding devices (HS codes 85287111, 85287119, 85287191, 85287199)
- IPTV set-top boxes (HS codes 85287111, 85287119, 85287191, 85287199)
- DVB-T2 receivers (DVB-T2 TVs, iDTVs) (HS codes 85287292, 85287299)
- Cable TV network amplifiers (HS code 85176249)
- Cordless phones (excluding DECT phones) (HS code 85171100)
- Laptop PCs (HS code 84713020)
- Tablets (HS code 84713090)
This standard is drafted based on IEC 62368-1:2018 standards (derived from IEC 62949:2017), issued as QCVN 22:2021/BTTTT. It includes essential content regarding electrical safety requirements and some physical safety requirements (durability) such as impact and drop tests. QCVN 132:2022/BTTTT replaces the technical requirements specified in Section 2.4 of QCVN 22:2010/BTTTT.
